Yeltsin & KRSU

 

The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was opened in 1993 in accordance with the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation and on the basis of the Agreement between the governments of friendly countries.

 

 

Symbolic key to the university The speech of the Board of Trustees of the KRSU to Academician NP Laverov was presented by President of Russia Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin. The name of the first President of Russia is inextricably linked with the activities of the first interstate educational institution in the system of higher professional education. In October 1995, Boris N. Yeltsin was first awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavonic University.

 

 

During his visits to Kyrgyzstan, B.N. Yeltsin invariably pays attention to the KRSU. He was the first to give personal scholarships to the best university student, who provided assistance in humanitarian cooperation and the promotion of educational, social and cultural projects of the KRSU.

 

 

Established in 2000, the Boris N. Yeltsin Foundation pays special attention to the most promising students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, who pay for Internet resources, to assist in acquiring high-tech equipment, holding various contests and competitions in support of the Russian language and Russian-language education among students in secondary schools and universities of the republic. .

 

 

The Boris N. Yeltsin Foundation took part in the creation of the Central Russian Language in Kyrgyzstan.

 

 

In 2004, in recognition of the outstanding merits of Boris Nikolayevich, the name of the First President of Russia was laid.

 

 

Four years later, on the days of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of KRSU, a bronze bust of Boris N. Yeltsin was installed in the main building of the university.
